Helsinki Layover-Porvoo

We found ourselves with nearly an eight hour layover at Vantaa Airport outside of Helsinki. I had already been to Helsinki and wasn’t interested in going back for just a few hours.  So I did a bit a research and learned that about a half an hour from the airport was the traditional wood village of Provoo.

We procured an Uber upon exiting the airport and paid over $70 for the nearly 20 mile drive.

We strolled the town, had a bite to eat, and went back to the airport.  Overall, Porvoo was a pleasant town to spend the layover. Below are some pictures I took of our walking tour.
