Pinocchio’s Home Town

Collodi is a small town in Tuscany that is famous for being named after the author of Pinocchio. On our recent trip, we made a quick stop there.

On the top of the hill there’s a very small village which enjoys a fantastic view of Tuscany. We drove up and I hiked in to take photos.

We didn’t spend a lot of time, essentially “Look and Leave Tours”. The larger city has a museum to Pinocchio. The line of parents and children waiting to get in rivaled some rides at Disney. Needless to say, we weren’t that interested in seeing the inside.
