Oslo

Our Tour of Scandinavia finally ended in Oslo. I enjoyed the city with its royal palace and fortification high above the city.  Not to be missed is the city’s Viking Museum.  The city has its share of beautiful buildings and quaint places to stop for a coffee or a beer.  Food is expensive and I did have difficulty finding food that I’m used to.

 

Just outside the city by train, is the ski jump. It was far more impressive than I had imagined. If you’re brave, there is a zipline ride down the ski jump for a fee.

At the far end of the city high above the port is the old fortress.
