Beware of the Four Ss
It seems every time I travel with my son out of the country where online check-in isn’t available, he gets it: the SSSS on the bottom of his boarding pass.
If you see this at the bottom of your boarding pass it means you’ve been selected for a secondary security screening.
It’s best that you go to the bathroom and get any snacks you may want before you proceed to the checkpoint. Once you hear your name called, I suggest you go directly to the checkpoint to avoid standing in line.
You may not be allowed to board when your flight starts to board either. The selected passengers are often held back and are the last to board as a group.
Such a hassle, but there is nothing that one can do but comply.
