Murals in Eastern Market
February in Detroit can be pretty cold. I wanted to continue my newfound interest in exploring on so I bundled up and drove down to Eastern Market. I had seen a number of murals that piqued my interest when I walked around with Ryan.
I parked around the street from BBK Butchers Inn.
My first stop gave me inspiration for another trip! I looked it up and it requires reservations so I’ll have to come back for a tour. It’s not something I can do spontaneously.
After walking and shooting many photos of the murals I had to warm up and what better way to do so than have a couple of Detroit’s famous coneys at Zeff’s?
When I resumed my journey I headed over towards the row of restaurants and found this flyer posted at the Cheese Shop.
I didn’t think GM’s decision would go over well in the Motor City.
Below is a gallery of a whole bunch of photos. It seemed easier to view like this. Let me know in the comments if I should just post them in a list.
I really was proud of this photo for some reason.
The artwork is really good and the typical graffiti artist seem to have left them alone.
Soon winter will be behind us and there will be more life downtown. I’m really looking forward to it.
