WW1 Memorial
Near Kansas City’s Union Station is a memorial to the fallen of World War 1.

I can’t honestly say I’ve seen President Calvin Coolidge’s name on may monuments. Black Jack Pershing, though, is another story. He’s quite revered amongst the military.

It’s a long walk from the wall above to the actual monument.

And the stairs… The northern face of the monument was not built with the Americans with Disabilities Act in mind.

Once I climbed the many stairs and caught my breath I found a number of groups of high schoolers taking what I believe are photos for the “Up-Down Prom in Kansas City”.
I’ll have to go back during visiting hours to see the museum. It’s open from 10AM to 5PM every day except Monday.
