Past Trips

Old Glory Distillery

I had never heard of Old Glory Distillery until I visited Casey Jones. They promoted the State Line Whiskey Tour and how visiting all three would get a barrel stave to display three branded shot glasses. I’d already been to the first two so off I went to Clarksville Tennessee, across the state line. It’s been a lifetime since I was here. Back then, I was a young 19 year old cadet who had finished two years at the United States Military Academy. Back then I was enrolled in the Air Assault School at Fort Campbell, KY, right on the border, learning to hang equipment under helicopters and how to rappel out of them. I earned a pretty cool badge that I wore proudly for the rest of my short Army career.

Anyway, back then there wasn’t any distilleries in town. Old Glory is pretty new but I LOVE their branding.

The owners clearly love America as much as I do and plan to capitalize on that awesome iconography.

It would be tough to mistake what country they are from. Anyway, I was able to tag along on the next scheduled tour.

They’ve grown to the point where they decided they needed a new column still to enable them to make the volume they desire. That’s a big step.

I love seeing actual operations underway. Remember, it was a Saturday and they were still making product.

Did I mention how much I love their logo?

Anyway, as the last of the State Line Whiskey tour I really enjoyed my time there. I was given the coveted barrel stave as I left.

This was a happy find along the Craft Tour. A great detour!
