Willett – Craft Bourbon Tour #3

When we left Barton Distillery Greg suggested we go to Willett. The grounds had changed a little bit with the addition of a real parking lot and the restaurant was open. We were able to walk up and get a place on the “tour” or ground walk and tasting. We paid $10 with military discount for the tour and waited for the appointed time.

The tour started with a glencairn with their flagship pot still Willett bourbon. We weren’t able to go into the buildings but we did talk through what happens and then wandered to where the barrels are filled and then went into the rick house. If you want to see what the tour was like back in 2018 take a look at this.

I found the plumb bob!

I remember they had hams hanging the first time I was there.

After the trip to the rick house we went back to the gift shop / restaurant for our tasting. As we were leaving I happened to see the display with the craft tour challenge coins on the wall. I hadn’t even thought of looking in the passport for Willett! So Greg got his book on the spot and his first stamp.
