From Detroit

Flint Farmers’ Market

While I was driving north of Detroit, I had a sudden craving for BBQ.  We were near Flint, Michigan, and a Google search showed that Charlies’ Smokin’ BBQ was not too far away.  I followed the directions and to my surprise  I found myself at the Flint Farmers’ Market.

I was pleasantly surprised at this little gem of a place located less than an hour from Detroit.  This is great way to spend a Saturday afternoon  sampling food, shopping and listening to music. It’s a smaller scale Detroit Eastern Market, but everything is inside which is great for the winter months.

The hours of operation are:

Sunday Closed
Monday Closed
Tuesday 9AM–6PM
Wednesday Closed
Thursday 9AM–6PM
Friday Closed
Saturday 8AM–5PM
The market is located at 300 E 1st St, Flint, MI 48502.  We found free, abundant parking on the street.
