Domino Farms Frank Lloyd Wright Exhibit

Located just outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan is Domino Farms.  One can’t help but notice that the design of the building with the long, low lines and colors that blend with the setting is similar in design to the style of Frank Lloyd Wright.  The founder of Domino’s Pizza, Tom Monaghan, studied architecture at the University of Michigan and became interested in the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright.  He owned two homes in the Detroit area that were designed by Wright and started building a home in the Wright style in Ann Arbor.  The home in Ann Arbor was never completed though since Monaghan had a religious reawakening in 1992.  At that point in his life, he sold off 93% of Dominos and found ways to benefits others with his wealth.

Housed in Domino’s Farms is Monaghan’s private collection of Frank Lloyd Wright artifacts. There is a lot more to see there than what I included below. There are many original plans a sketches by Wright, windows, models, etc.  Definitely worth a visit for any Frank Lloyd Wright fan.

Hours are M-F 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
