Yamil Lu’um Mayan Ruin

Located in the Hotel Zone of Cancun is the 13th Century temple of Yamil Lu’um.  This was the perfect beach break I needed to get out and explore for about an hour or two.

The site is free.  Just take the bus to kilometer 16 and enter the hotel that is across from the H&M store.

Go straight and follow the stairway that turns up around to the right. When you go to the pool area stay to the right you’ll eventually come to a path.  Take the path. At the end of it, the temple will appear before you. Just go to the left and follow the stairs upward.
