Murals in Cancun

Driving around the northern area of Cancun City is full of beautiful murals. You can’t miss them.

The painting of the Boy, Jaguar, and Eagle is honored by Google Maps with it’s own entry.

I’m always impressed with good street art. You may be consider me a philistine but I prefer it to visiting a museum to see work of the masters. I’m a punk rock fan, too.

They’re generally in the Puerto Juarez area near the Naval and Military base. Specifically, the first and second photo are on Avenida José López Portillo. You can find the exact location of the Boy, the Jaguar, and the Eagle in google maps by searching “Mural Painting Boy Jaguar and Eagle”.
The next five are on Avenida Bonampak. The one with the overpass is at the intersection of those two roads.
