Isla Mujeres

We talk about Isla Mujeres a lot, but we haven’t dedicated a post to it ever. It’s one of the places to visit in and around Cancun Mexico. The “Isla” part is “island” when translated to English, so one must ride a ferry from downtown Cancun.

The island is very small so just beyond the ferry stop there are places to rent moped or, better yet, golf carts. We took the opportunity to give Bella’s son a chance to learn to drive on real roads.

There are places to eat and hotels as you circumnavigate the island. We’ve never stayed there due to the ferry trip we’d have to take to get back to the airport, but we’ve found a place that would be fun. It sports a zip line into the pool and slides into the gulf.
