Three Days In Portugal

On April 5, 2015, we purchases tickets to Lisbon from December 19 to 25.  We flew on SATA Airlines from Toronto.  The tickets were $563 each.  In addition to the Lisbon ticket, we purchased a one-day, round trip ticket to Funchal, Madeira for $161 each.  We stayed near the airport at the Holiday Inn Express for $64 a night.  We rented cars in both Lisbon and Funchal.  In August, we received an email from SATA stated that our flight on December 25th was cancelled leaving us no choice but to shorten our trip for two days.  We established the following itinerary.

December 19-Fly to Lisbon

December 20-Sintra, Obidos and Belem

December 21-Funchal, toboggan ride–a must! (Freddy wrote a post on this), world’s highest glass sidewalk, and island of Madeira.

December 22- Fatima and Lisbon

December 23-Fly home
