Sao Paulo, Brazil

Sao Paulo, Brazil is the largest city in Brazil with a metropolitan population of over 21,000,000 inhabitants.  I dreamed of going there ever since I was an exchange student my senior year of high school.  I was excited to finally have a chance to explore this city.

Our first stop was the cathedral.

Interior of the cathedral.

In font of the cathedral is a large park where many homeless people call home.

View of plaza and food stalls in front of the cathedral.

One treat that’s a must is the fresh sugar cane juice.

We strolled to Beto Alley.

And took note of many of the architectural sites in the city.

Ever since I studied Japanese a learned about the Japanese population in Brazil, I have been curious to check out the Japanese of Brazil. So we explored Japan Town.

There’s a Japanese garden.

And there are stores that sell various Japanese items.

Of course, there are Japanese restaurants.
