Santa Fe Trail

Nice day trip west of Kansas City, Kansas is the Santa Fe Trail. The trail connected Santa Fe, New Mexico to Franklin, Missouri. I spent the better part of the day just looking for things that caught my fancy and inspired me to stop and take it’s photo.

The cows above were pretty funny. I stopped when they were way down by the watering hole and stood at the gate with my zoom lens trying to get a cool shot. They noticed me and got very curious. They must have thought I was there to feed them because they kept getting closer. I didn’t realize cows were so friendly.

That branch was balanced on the u-shaped picket. Much like a turtle on a fence post, you know it didn’t get there by itself.

I love the old pick ups with weathered paint like that.

It was a nice diversion for a day. I really enjoyed the sights and was pretty happy with some of the images I captured.
