Four Hours in Amsterdam

Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam is one of the easiest places to enjoy a short layover. I arrived with grand designs to get bumped and enjoy a night in the city but that decision couldn’t be made until closer to departure time. I couldn’t count on that so I headed to the train, bought a round trip ticket for €11 or so and went to see the sights.

Those cheese wheels are so uniform
I’ve heard they were known for this

My focus was on seeing as much as possible in as little time as possible so I could get back to the airport. I didn’t take a tour or even have a beer and enjoy watching people go by.

Returning to train station

Some day I’ll get back and see the Anne Frank museum, but it wasn’t in the cards this trip.
