Sunset River Cruise from Livingstone

I wanted to do something special with my son for our last night in Zambia.  I was intrigued by the Royal Livingstone Express, but after I saw the menu, I decided against it.  The excursion would have cost around $400 for the two of us and for a special, last, night dinner I was willing to pay it.  However, when I saw the food on the menu was offerings that I don’t care for I could not justify spending that kind of money for a dinner I wouldn’t eat.

One of the restaurants we ate at had an excursion desk in the entrance.  I went over and asked of any special dinner experience and the agent recommended the Zambezi Sunset cruise.  The cost of $75 a person included pick up and drop off from hotel, snacks, and open bar for an hour and a half cruise.

There was some wildlife to be seen.

The sunset was spectacular.

The boat was comfortable and afforded all with adequate viewing.
